The Hospice is graded with a 5-star accreditation from the Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa (COHSASA) with the mentoring and guidance of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association (HPCA). This accreditation is awarded for Patient Care and Governance.
Bethesda also won the local Industrial Ministries evaluation for Large Businesses twice already; this evaluation measures the quality of Leadership of Management; the fulfilment of the spiritual-, emotional- and physical needs of the staff; as well as the investment in the development of human resources.
Bethesda Hospice was upgraded to an Intermediate Care Facility in 2013 by Department of Health and Global Fund; this was done as a result of a high quality Service delivery history and the uniqueness of the care Bethesda provides.
